Door won't latch or stay closed? This dishwasher door latch assembly fixes latching failures and prevents mid-cycle stops. Moderate DIY repair with video.
I ordered the Maytag Latch-Door mechanism and was able to get a service manual from appliancepartspros.com. I followed instructions, disconnected power FIRST, and removed the inner door panel screws and the inner and outer doors came apart. I was then able to disconnect the power leads to the electronic latch door mechanism and remove the whole assembly. The assembly was loosely attached to the inside of the outer door by plastic posts and squeeze levers. I compared the OEM part with the... Read more
Delivers water from supply line to dishwasher tub. Replace if cracked, leaking, chewed by rodents, or damaged during installation or moving.
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to... Read more
Fix leaks around the dishwasher motor or poor spray pressure with this impeller and seal kit. DIY-friendly repair takes about 2 hours with basic tools.
My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off. And the new impeller comes with new seals, after taking old one out I noticed it wasn't long before my old seals would have started leaking. Very simple repair if you watch the great video that... Secures water and drain hoses in washers to prevent leaks. Replace if connections loosen or clamp shows corrosion. Confirm fit with your model number.
First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available.... Dishwasher won't start or lights flash? The door switch signals the control board when closed. Easy DIY fix with video guide. Restore operation.
This was a difficult problem to diagnose. Because the machine would start the wash cycle then shut down after a few minutes of running, it appeared that the cause might be a bad thermostat or heating element, but all checked out ok. That led me to believe that the control panel may be the culprit but it also appeared to be working correctly when I ran the diagnostics program. A visual examination of the components found that the door switch electrical connections looked discolored, so I removed... Read more
Upper dish rack assembly for dishwashers. Holds glasses, cups, and small items on the top level. Replace if cracked, warped, rusted, or deteriorating.
Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. I didn't have to buy any parts for the latter part of this little repair project, though. Read more

Fix standing water in your dishwasher bottom with a check valve replacement. Prevents backflow and improves cleaning. DIY repair in 30-60 minutes.
The odor in the dishwasher was due to scum buildup in the walls, the racks, and in the lower part of the drain below the lower rotating arm. One of the valves in the vertical tube was stuck in the open position; since the valves cannot be replaced, the entire tube needed replacement. The check valve probably needed no replacement, but once I opened the bottom part, I decided to replace it anyway. I used this Youtube video to replace the tube, open and clean the drainage part of the washer: ... Read more
Fix a dishwasher that won't heat water or dry dishes properly. This heating element restores hot water cycles and sanitization. Moderate DIY repair.
After reviewing the other repair stories related to this "7 blinking light" syndrome, I contacted their support staff via Chat. I relayed my symptoms along with model number of dishwasher. She indicated that this would normally mean an issue with either the heating element, the high limit thermostat, or the control board. Since the control board was so expensive and (luckily) out of stock, I ordered only the heating element and the thermostat. After pulling out the dishwasher and removing... Read more
Guides the upper rack smoothly in and out of your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, broken, or wheels no longer roll properly along the track.
Ordered the parts and followed the instruction videos that Sears provide, Initially tried to order parts from Sears directly but the web-page kept complaining about my shipping address. Their loss- no wonder they're going out of business. Also, should note that the original assembly was plastic but the replacement was metal. Sure sign of a crappy cost-cutting decision. Overall, very happy with Appliance Parts Pros! Read more

Seals the dishwasher air vent to prevent water leaks during operation. Replace if you notice dripping under the vent or wet insulation behind the panel.
First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect. Found calcium deposit running down from under the Air Vent Assembly and wet behind the black stick-on insulation. Easy to trace the leak to the bottom of the door. => Ordered new Air Vent Assembly, gasket and Vent Deflector. Parts arrived. Took 5 minutes to remove upper panel. Removed the two wires from the Air Vent Assembly. Inserted a... Read more
Replacement dishwasher panel that covers and protects internal components. Install to replace a dented, cracked, worn, or missing panel piece.
Ordered front panel and panel control. Also ordered name plate (did not need) front panel already has it. My husband and I had it switched out in approx 10 minutes. Took longer to gather proper tools than it did to do the repair. Looks awesome and original! Read more
Replaces cracked, broken, or missing lower spray arm in your dishwasher. Installs at the bottom of the tub to distribute water during wash cycles.
Screwed the new spray arm on. This dishwasher has been through 2 control panels, a spray arm, rack roller assembly, rollers, and far too much of my time, patience, and money. I'll never purchase another KitchenAid product. Read more
Leaking from the dishwasher door? A cracked air inlet allows water to escape during cycles. Moderate DIY repair, typically takes 1-2 hours to complete.
I replaced the seal which turned out to be a little tougher job than it was supposed to. Small screws and very limited space to get into. Use a magic nut driver or something to hold the screw. Read more
Replace the wheel and bracket assembly that mounts to your dishwasher tub wall. Needed when the tub-mounted roller is cracked, broken, or missing.
Ordered new wheel assembly, which came in about a day and a half. The broken assembly was on the left front so I only had to slide the dishwasher out just enough to expose the two mounting screws on the outside of machine. When you remove the old assm there are two rubber washers on the back side. If you didn't order new ones, remember to remove them from broken assembly and install them onto the new piece.Overall this is an easy fix and took about ten minutes including pulling the machine away...
