The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. I bought the $6.00 plastic clip that holds the agitator In place while washing and the $10.50 spanner wrench that takes the 2 top nuts off to get to the agitator stem the other tools necessary for the job which are just a couple of things I already had then watched the video on line of how to do the job and then did it the whole thing took about 2 hours plus I took my time and gave both tubs a very good cleaning. Model# MAV7257AWW Maytag Atlantis Washing Machine. Repairs were fairly easy along with the videos appliancepartspros offers on their website. Parts also came with instructions on how to install. Other videos were available on You Tube. The only part difficult to install was Thrust bearing kit - make sure when installing to pull down on shaft so washer and e-clip will fit. Removed agitator, inner washer barrel, and agitator shaft then drained all the water and emulsified oil out of the transmission. Filled the transmission with new oil and then replaced the worn agitator shaft, shaft collar, shaft o-ring and stem sealing system. Read more

Took off the back of the top pushed the switch forward and lifted it out after I unplugged it. Put the new switch in the opposite of how I took it out, plugged in the wires put the back on and finished my laundry. Read more
