I looked on Appliance Parts Pros. com and read the problems that others had and replacing the ignitor made sense so I ordered one. It came by UPS within 3 days. I watched the video on how to replace it. Everything went easily, except the screw that held the ignitor in place was a philups head screwdriver and I couldn't get a screwdriver into the small space I had to work in so I went to Harbor Freight Tools and bought an inexpensive 90 degree rachet screwdriver for $2.99 and it worked great.... The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube. I then reversed disassembly. I replaced the hinge due to the hinge spring breaking. To replace the hinge you do the following: 1. Disconnect power to stove, either at circuit box or at outlet. 2. Lift door off of outside hinge arms ; no screws are used to attach the door to the hinge 3. Remove two screw on under side of cook top, one on each side. 4. Disconnect cook top connector. 5. I determined that it was a problem that occurred during the defrost cycle by resetting the GFCI outlet and forwarding the defrost timer until the defroster came on. Once the defrosting began, the GFCI outlet would reliably trip. I took apart the shielding inside of the freezer and tested the defrosting without the heating element or the thermostat connected. The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy. Unscrewed the front lower panel ( 2 screws ). Disconnected the pump hose clamp and removed the hose. I loosened the lower back panel and pulled out the drained hose from the rear. Replaced with new hose put back clamp and panels. Very easy Read more

This was more maintenance than a fix. I replaced the door gasket and temp sensor on my dryer. Thought what the heck and it might work more efficiently. I also replaced the shocks on my front loading washer. That was a bit of a chore, but could not have done it without the video that showed how to replace them. The socket was the life saver. It turned out that because of a loose connection at the power terminal block, it over heated, melting the block and of course frying the wiring and distorting the connections.
