This is a Whirlpool washer control board. This is the main control board behind the user interface, not to be confused with the motor control board located within the body of the washer. This part controls the main functions of the washer and toggles between different cycles. Certain functions may become unavailable intermittently when the main control board loses function. The washer may also continue to spin, not following the regular timeline of the cycle.Start the repair by pulling the control knob from the front of the washer. Pull the washer out from the wall to access the rear panel. Remove the screws from the back panel, and push back on the control panel while sliding a flat head under the right corner to release the mounting clip. Repeat this on the left side, and the central console should pull free. Release the clips for the wire harness and remove the air hose from the control board. Remove the mounting screws and pull the control board from its protective console. Reverse this process to install the new component.This product is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, and JennAir appliances.

I removed the front door and the cover. Then I removed the top and tilted it back. I was checking the switches along the outside of the drum when I noticed the right spring hanging down. After much internet research (primary YouTube) as to why my Maytag Neptune washing machine's spin cycle stopped working, I ordered the parts I needed to fix it. I used the instructions from some of your previous customers. When I was ready to pull the inner tub from the outer tub, it pulled very hard. The front bearing had been HOT and really marked the shaft. The SEAL appeared to be almost plastic, not much left. I removed the seal from the Front bearing. I had watched some videos on youtube to understand how to disassemble & gain access to the various washer components & their location. Very easy. I had first replaced the wax motor, but that was not the problem. I reviewed the diagnostic procedures that were present near the control board, followed the directions to remove the main plug from the motor control board, which should allow the washer to spin at 50 rpm.
