Replaces broken or missing end cap on refrigerator freezer door handle. Snaps into place to complete handle appearance. Commonly cracks or breaks off.
Replaced broken handle support bracket (part #AP5620448) and cap (part #AP5620751). Used a phillips head screwdriver and allen wrench. Pliers also came in very handy. If replacing cap and support bracket, be sure to install cap before support bracket, otherwise you'll have trouble installing the cap. I ended up not needing to replace the fixer handle (part #AP4372038), but I'll keep it around just in case. Read more

First, I removed the old gaskets, which was a very easy task since they are held in the doors by rubber beads in recessed slots. I installed the new right door gasket in less than 10 minutes by gradually pushing the retainer bead into the door recessed slot with finger pressure until it was seated properly. Flipper assembly that installs vertically on the French door liner to seal the center gap. Replace if cracked, broken, or no longer closing properly.
Looked at new part and realized there were only 2 screws that held the flap onto the door. Removed 2 caps off of screws with small knife and saved them. Removed 2 screws and the flap fell off into my hands. Disconnected wire harness. Connected wire harness for new flap and carefully pushed harness back into recess in door. Put screws back with caps. I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off.
