Door Light Switch
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WR23X21444

The GE Door Light Switch is an OEM Replacement Part that serves as the Freezer Door Fan and Light Switch. The switch is made from metal, wiring, and plastic. It plays an essential role in energy conservation by turning off the light when the refrigerator or freezer door is closed

I did some searching on the internet to see if others had the same issue I was having. So I ordered the part from AppliancePartPros and it arrived on Tuesday, 2 business days after I ordered it, which was just as expected. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Burner switch was not turning the burner off   Mary K. • Dublin , GA • July 13, 2014

We cut the power, took the control panel off, got the burner switch number from the original part, and ordered a new one. We were a little worried at that point, because your website offered a "replacement" part, with a different number than the original. However, we put the model number into your double check feature and were assured that we were getting the right part. The part arrived in two days and frankly we were still worried, because the new part was slightly larger than the original.... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Burner in glass top range control only has off or full on modes   Edward A. • Brookfield , WI • August 11, 2015

Based on internet search and data found on APPLIANCE PARTS PRO, I deduced that the "infinite control " module was most likely bad. Replaced it and all is good. Toughest part was remembering how to disengage cooktop from down draft blower and then pulling the cook top up in within it's opening. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Right side door switch   John M. • Folsom , CA • January 14, 2026

The fix went great. I replaced the right-side door switch and it works great. The switch came as a three prong, and the original was a two prong. I matched the two prong wires with/on where they go on the switch, and it worked great. Next is the left door gasket. I am letting the new door gasket lay flat for a few days to see if the folded kinks/creases will relax out.
