I followed troubleshooting guide and repair videos offered on website, ordered replacement oven control board and reinstalled unit using only a 1/4 inch nut driver. Easy fix for do it yourselfer in 15-20 minutes. Make certain to have model number of appliance when ordering. Parts are somewhat pricey but AppliancePartsPros. were much more reasonable than local parts supply houses or other sources plus they offered 1 year replacement even on electrical stuff. Read more

Replaced the Main Control Board Assembly along with the evaporator and condenser fan motors. I thoroughly cleaned the very very dirty condenser with a 4$ brush offered by the parts specialist and while I was at it, I changed the door seals and replaced one of the door trays. Beats the crap out of spending $10,000 on a new refrigerator that because of Covid 19 wouldn't be here before the middle of November. Thank you Matt for your help! Read more

I've never done any type of repairs on a washing machine and figured I would give it a try. My washer is approx. nine years old and in good condition, and either I would repair this on my own or buy another. After looking for solutions online and watching some short videos, we decided to open the dishwasher up and try to fix it ourselves. We opened it up and found the circuit board had burned out causing a horrible odor. We ordered our new board, popped it in and we now have a working dishwasher. Hooray! Read more

This was a newer GE Monogram side-by-side unit that used an inverter compressor. I removed the inverter and used an ohmmeter to measure the resistance of each of the three windings. They were all very close to one another: about 6.8 ohms per winding. I concluded that the compressor was probably not at fault. We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. The defrost heater element looked good and had continuity. The defrost thermostats checked good, so that just left the Defrost Module as the likely suspect. I installed a new defrost control module and thermostats. The thermostats were inexpensive and the old ones could have been intermittent, The only "tricky" part was finding out how to get to the back screw that holds the main control panel. Called an appliance guy, who said the control panel needed to be changed and quoted me $600. Luckily I Googled the model number and found this website. After seeing that several other people had had the same problem and that the membrane was recommended (not the control panel), I took a chance and ordered the part. When I ordered the control board the young lady told me that I had to take the front off the dishwasher. I did exactly as she said and started to put the new control board on. I could not unplug from the old one and finally my son came by and did that. I then put everything back together and turned it on. IT WORKED. Thank you.
