Soap dispenser wouldn't close door kept falling down Graeme M. • Branford , CT • October 07, 2017
First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. After turning off the power to the dishwasher, I removed the switch cover (not obvious how -- a video would help: on the left, I slid the narrow rectangular plastic wire cover a little to one side and gently opened it on its little hinge, which is near the left side of the door, and then...

The cap was long gone for the rinse agent dispenser [fill cap assembly] Jennifer B. • Pacifica , CA • July 31, 2014
Using your program, I loaded the info re my trusty old dishwasher (not ready to abandon over a cap) and you located the proper cap to replace my old one that has been lost for years. [don't ask how that happened in the first place!] I really didn't think you would have a part for an 18-20 year old dishwasher. After ordering the replacement cap, it arrived within a few days. I was so excited that I could fix this problem myself without calling an expensive repairman! I simply removed the part...

Latch would not open consistently on detergent dispenser James G. • Waxhaw , NC • January 12, 2015
Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle.

Failure to hold temperature after preheating. Michael D. • Wilmington , DE • January 07, 2023
I was getting really frustrated with our oven. It would preheat to the correct temperature, then slowly lose heat until it was down to about 200 degrees. So it took about two hours to heat a pizza!
Finally decided to repair the oven myself, rather than pay $300.00 to have a repair person come out. Ordered the replacement igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com, and it arrived in two days.
I followed the instructional video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website, and it was going well until I...

Cover detergent cup would not close or stay closed Michael G. • Wareham , MA • October 01, 2019
Although I ordered the latch, lever and a new cup and replace the original pieces the dispenser still did not close. On further inspection it turned out to be a small spring that had fallen out of place. Once the spring was reconnected the dispensing cover worked fine. I'm still happy that I replaced the entire assembly with new parts regardless. Discovering the loose spring took the most time.

My dishwasher detergent dispensor door was not opening during wash cycle and the control panel was loose because the plastic mounts for the screws were broken Reed W. • Eldon , MO • November 11, 2014
I ordered a new detergent dispenser and control assembly, watched a few videos on you tube and dived in. The repairs were pretty simple once I got started and while I was doing this I went the extra step and cleaned out the drain. I would suggest doing this annually. Pretty simple to do and only 5 screws to get to the drain and the grinder. I found plastic and several other things that would not allow the dishwasher to drain properly and probably part of the problem of dishes not getting...

Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages. Linkages intact both sides, R [opposite] side spring very stretched....

Instructions to replace wd12x10304 (ap4484666) roller bearings Richard L. • Webster , NY • February 18, 2016
I did not see the old ones fall out, so I was not sure the exact product placement within the rail, which was frustrating, to say the least.
For the next person's benefit....these slide into the MIDDLE of the rail that is attached to both sides of the dishwasher. Not the front, not the back, but the middle!
Steps to fix:
1) Order 2 of these Roller Bearing Cage.
2) Order 4 of WD12X10304 (AP4484666) end caps!! Unless you have brand new ones already, you will need them for sure and they are...

Rinse agent leaking from the dispenser Hal C. • Clarksville , TN • September 13, 2016
This was a pretty easy fix. Removed the screws around the perimeter of the inside cover of the door and pressed the outer door cover upward to release it from slots retaining it. There are four wires to remove (2 for the detergent door release and 2 for the rinse agent release). Removed the 6 screws retaining the dispenser assembly and inserted the new one. Reassembly is simply in reverse order.
Problem solved for less than the cost of a service technician's call!
