Had my kitchen renovated and my contractor lost the access panel for my Whirlpool dishwasher so I had to find a replacement. Even though the fasteners probably only cost a few cents, I had to buy a new mullion for my fridge. $80! $80 because two nylon fasteners were poorly designed. Replacing the part was easy once I paid the *$80* for the new part. Unscrewed the old mullion. Slipped on the new $80 part. Read more

Pretty easy fix with replacement part from AppliancePartsPros -- but there's a catch: The eight control buttons, not the on/off button, all look alike, but they need to be installed in a certain order for them to work once you install the panel. No instructions for this and the repair video (by the tech Simon) does NOT make this clear. It took a lot of time and repeated installations to figure this out. After 8 years of yanking to open our Bosch dishwasher (SHE45M06UC/50 model #) the plastic front panel cover started to break off (one of the tabs on the left side broke off). The shipping was super-fast, so got the part within 2 business days. Just need to remove the lower Torx screws (3 on each side) which hold the lower front panel to the dishwasher to get access to the screws holding on the control panel, swap the buttons and silver handle, and replace. An aluminum drip pan was placed into the bottom of the oven thinking that it would make for easier clean up......Don't Do It! It melted to the bottom floor of the oven and could not be removed. It was infused with the coating on the floor pan, thus making it permanently damaged. After a quick search of the internet, a replacement part was found at AppliancePartsPros.com They had the part I needed at a very good price. Removed torx screws attaching stainless liner to outer stainless door. Lift off inner door and carefully separate the electronic components from where they snap into the control panel. Relocate electronic components to the new control panel. Reattach the inner liner with the torx screws. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands to hold the control panel while making the electronics swap to avoid pulling on the wiring harness. After 4 years of heavy use nearly all of the facia assembly's plastic attachment tabs were broken. This caused the facia to pull away from the door while trying to open the dishwasher. I ordered a replacement facia from appliancepartspro.com ($52 with shipping, part arrive in one day!) and installed it in about 30 minutes.
