Normally I would do a better job of investigating my problem with what others have experienced and then proceed with the cheapest fix first. This time though I just knew it was the timer. I ordered the correct part, installed it, plugged in the cord, turned on the washer and still no drain and no spin. What a defeated feeling. So I went back to the web site. After researching on line what the error code meant I ordered a new electronic control board and oven sensor. It is important to make sure you have all the details of your model number when looking for a part. The oven technician looked at our oven said the replacement parts were no longer being made. I needed to replace the light bulb in the oven, but forgot to turn off the breaker and unplug the oven (NEVER DO THIS)!!! There was a spark, and my control board was fried. The range top worked fine, so I knew if was the control board (if you no longer see the digital clock and none of the buttons are responsive, it's a pretty good indicator that it's toast). Replaced control board with OEM part from ApplianceParts Pro - fit exactly and remedied the problems. Simple to replace - turn off power (circuit breaker), remove internal door panel, remove control board cover and unplug wires/LED leads (the LED lead connectors on the board have a square tension slip ring around them that hold the leads - just pull these up away from board and they will release the leads) and then remove the controller board housing.
