Ice maker stopped making ice or won't harvest? This ice maker assembly replaces the complete unit. DIY-friendly repair takes about 10-15 minutes.
The tech sheet test 56 said the motor wouldn't return to zero. I ordered the "Ice Maker Assy-Lp, and the Valve Assy-Water Dual". On my particular model the ice maker is in the ceiling of the refrigerator box. After removing the water filter and two screws around the drop down water filter door, the right side panel drops down by pulling it apart from 3 plastic pop-ins. Two of them broke when the repair guy man handled it. Pulling easy and supporting the inside pieces is key. Then I unplugged... Read more

Ordered valves and new ice maker. Couple sites mentioned problem could be ice in the waterline and to make sure temps be set to 37 in frig and 0 in freezer. I had adjusted temps to these the day I ordered parts. Parts arrived a couple of days later so I opened up the ice maker and found the ice bin to be full! Guess the temp adjustment worked. The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well. The excessive build up of ice caused the cube tray to crack and also split the little silicone water grommet that connects to the water delivery tube which directs water into the cube tray. Look out for that little tube... Read more

This complete ice maker unit produces and dispenses ice cubes in your refrigerator's freezer compartment. It includes all internal mechanisms for water filling, freezing, and ice ejection cycles. Install this assembly if your ice maker has stopped producing ice, makes unusual noises, or produces malformed ice cubes.
After about three months of returning to my youth, filling ice cube trays, I decided to venture into the freezer and yank the old ice maker from its mounting. Since this was the third time this very ice maker had decided to stop functioning, it was time to get a replacement. I suspected the heating element was open and the motor was screaming trying to push the little frozen blocks of ice from their form, with distortion occurring. I ordered a replacement from this very company, received it... Read more
Traps food particles and debris during wash cycles to prevent recirculation and ensure clean dishes. Replace if clogged, damaged, or causing odors.
I replaced the filter cartridge that is located underneath the lower spray arm. The original filter cartridge had become completely blinded off, the filter media is a very fine mesh nylon fabric and it gets clogged up eventually with hard water scale and other non-soluble materials (including dishwasher detergent). When this filter gets plugged, too little water flows through to the pump to be recirculated during washing. Replacement is relatively easy, except for the awkward position of... Read more
Fix loud grinding noises in your dryer with a new blower wheel. This fan circulates air to dry clothes efficiently. DIY-friendly repair.
Our Maytag gas clothes dryer was not drying like it should/used to and was making a lot of noise. After researching online I figured the vent was partially blocked and/or the blower wheel was bad. When I took it apart, the vent had very little lint in the lower elbow exiting the back of the dryer but the blower wheel was loose on the shaft and was missing the clamp. I cleaned out the vent and put a hose clamp on the blower wheel to tighten it to the shaft and tried it again. The noise was... Read more
