Chopper screen was completely blocked. Chopper blades separated from the shaft. Retainer ring came off of the shaft but was able to re install the chopper assembly. Worked fine after cleaning the screen and reassembly the lower spray arm. Lower spray arm hub tab broke when removing so purchased a new one with a new bearing. After taking off the top and front panels to access the drum, it was easy to see what the problem was. The front drum support was worn through and the 3 drum support glides were gone. The rear drum bearing was also completely worn out. And while I had the dryer apart I also replaced the idler pulley and drive belt. The only hard part was putting the drive belt back on the motor shaft and idler pulley. The dryer is back to drying clothes like a new machine. Read more

Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. Replaced the tracks. You need to pull the dishwasher out for this since the screws holding them are on the outside. Not super complicated in my case since my dishwasher didn't require disconnecting water hose or power wires to pull out (there was enough slack behind). Read more

I did not see the old ones fall out, so I was not sure the exact product placement within the rail, which was frustrating, to say the least. For the next person's benefit....these slide into the MIDDLE of the rail that is attached to both sides of the dishwasher. Not the front, not the back, but the middle! Removed the bottom rack from the dishwasher. Removed the 2 front plates at bottom of the dishwasher. Removed the two screws from the top of the dishwasher holding the dishwasher to the counter-top. Pulled the dishwasher out. Removed the 8 mm screws from the outside of the dishwasher-- 4 per side (Underneath the sound proofing).
