Removed bottom cover, located leak at float switch, removed and replaced float switch kit. The toughest part of the repair was removing the Float & Retainer Assembly (in the interior of the machine tank) which broke when I pushed it back and pulled it straight up as suggested in the service manual. Checked switch with a voltmeter, determined the switch was bad. Ordered a new switch....watched a short how to you-tube video.....and from there.....it was fixed. Read more

I replaced all 4 suspension rods and springs and now it spins very smooth. They weren't broken, just badly worn. It gave new life to my 15 year old GE Profile washer. They are basically springs, so they wear after a while. It was well worth the hour I spent fixing it. You need a good long reach to get to the back 2 and you have to take off the dampening straps and the control panel so you can gain access. Replaced pump. All components are accessible from the front of the machine. You have to remove two screws in the back that hold on the top cover, then slide the cover back. This will allow access to the screws that hold on the control panel. Remove the control panel (unplug cable), then remove the spring/wire that holds on the door bellows to the front panel (removing and installing that is the most difficult part of the job) and carefully remove the bellows from the front panel. Removed old lint filter cover. Inserted spring on one end of lint cover and installed cover. Read more

Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

Replaced sump and related pieces. Also replaced door baffles that were getting bad. The hardest part of job was removing the dishwasher from the its spot in cabinets. The info on site made replacing parts easy. Read more

Watched the video a few times for door boot seal replacement. It was a lot of help! The spring is the hardest to replace and I did enlist the help of my wife. Everything went back on great. If you have to replace the front panel (with the buttons) be mindful that the buttons are spring loaded and will come out. I did not lose any and it went back together just fine.
