Dishwasher Bottom Door Gasket
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 809006501

Seals the gap between the dishwasher tub and door bottom to prevent water leaks. Replace if you notice leaking at the door base or visible wear.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking from the bottom of the tub door   Joseph P. • Palmyra , PA • April 10, 2015

The dishwasher is 4 years old, so I figured since it was leaking from the bottom, replacing the Tub Gasket PN: AP5690109, Splash Shield Kit PN: AP4338941 , and the bottom Door Seal/Gasket PN: AP5809675 was a good idea; the machine probably has around 1200 cycles in 4 years. There's no telling how much the door had opened and closed!? The bottom Door Seal/Gasket was badly worn, and the entire job took me around 30 minutes which included the detailed cleaning of the mating flanges. Take your... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice maker stopped making ice.   Steve C. • Dripping Springs , TX • September 30, 2019

Well, I got online and found several YouTube videos on how to check what was happening. I have a multimeter and tools. I first replaced the external water filter just to make sure it wasn't that, and it needed it. That wasn't the problem. I then removed the water inlet valve which was really easy. I didn't disconnect the water lines but I did unplug the power plug. Using the ohms setting on the meter, I tested the coil of the valve solenoid. It wasn't open. I checked the voltage at the plug... Dishwasher Door Bottom Gasket
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304500204

Seals the bottom of your dishwasher door to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if worn, cracked, or loose. Confirm fit with your model.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking from the front corner of the door   Megan D. • Shelbyville , TN • October 14, 2016

A quick google search lead me to the problem - the plastic door gasket had become loose and broken. Received the part very quickly and installed it that night after a little trial and error. What the videos don't tell you is that to properly 'seat' the gasket you need to angle it UP when you push it into the little gap. If you angle it up, it will catch and seat properly, if you just push it in normally, it won't catch on the right part and it'll just hang loose at the bottom of the door and... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Not cooling properly eventually evaporator fan failure   Richard D. • Wood Ridge , NJ • April 25, 2016

My problem first showed up as varying temperature in both sections of my old mid 1970’s Frigidaire model FPCI-170T-7 refrigerator, which is not listed on most appliance repair databases. Running on the warm side from time to time, as well as sudden fan noise (probably the fan blade hitting ice build-up on the evaporator coil) alerted me to a possible defrost system problem, since the compressor was cooling. The evaporator fan eventually failed after a day or so, and a major repair was... Read more

VERY simple fix- you do not even have to pull the range out.. I ordered a new cooktop from Appliance parts Pros. The customer sales rep Alphonso was great and walked me through the general process. I could find no explicit instructions for the repair but I muddled my way through. The fix is simple on Kitchenaid/Whirpool slide in ranges. 1. Light Bulb (40W)
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 316538904

The Light Bulb (40W) is an OEM part for Frigidaire appliances. Specifically designed to fit and function with Frigidaire models, this 40-watt bulb illuminates the interior of your oven, making it easier to check on the progress of your baking or roasting without opening the oven door.

Over time, oven light bulbs can burn out or be damaged from high temperatures or accidental bumps during cleaning or cooking. A functioning light bulb is crucial for the optimal operation of your oven, enhancing visibility and improving your cooking experience.

Symptoms of a bad Light Bulb include:

  • The oven interior remains dark when the light switch is engaged.
  • Flickering light, indicating a loose connection or nearing the end of the bulb's lifespan.
  • Completely non-functional light, which can hinder your ability to monitor cooking progress.

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The bottom heating element wasn't working in top oven   Kevin Scott W. • Parker , CO • January 09, 2015

Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... 1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was. 2.
