I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDQ12 wall mount oven. Gathering information from AppliancePartsPros.com resulted in two possibilities: The Thermal Switch or the Control Panel. Talking with Appliance Parts Pros led to testing the Oven Temperature Sensor. It's supposed to test at 1080 Ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine tested at 960 Ohms so I knew it was bad... Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. Found a real cool Youtube video by AppliancePartsPro.com. I watched it and learned how easy it was to unhook and replace the part with proper care and precautions. It even included tips on critical steps so the wires won't slip back inside the hole and save you from hours of possible mistake. Then I ordered the part. Replacing the Door Gasket is very easy and will take about 2-3 mins per door. Simply remove the Gasket Retainer (1 screw), and pull off the old Gasket. Install the new gasket by simply pushing the gasket clips into the holes where the old clips came out from. Be sure to start gasket at the first hole either side of the Gasket Retainer and work your way around. Reinstall Gasket retainer. Turned off power supply. Removed two screws (near the oven door) holding the ceramic top. Slid the top forward, disengaged the two power supply cables, and removed one ground wire. Followed the video- opened the front of the dryer and removed the drum. It was evident that one of the wheels had worn and wasn't turning freely like the other one. The video showed how to remove the roller. Very simple process and now the dryer works just fine. Read more
