Well, I got online and found several YouTube videos on how to check what was happening. I have a multimeter and tools. I first replaced the external water filter just to make sure it wasn't that, and it needed it. That wasn't the problem. I then removed the water inlet valve which was really easy. I didn't disconnect the water lines but I did unplug the power plug. Using the ohms setting on the meter, I tested the coil of the valve solenoid. It wasn't open. I checked the voltage at the plug... Replaced ice maker unit. 4 screws to remove cover on inside door. 2 screws for ice maker. Three connectors: ice maker on/off switch, LED light, wiring harness connector. A second person assisted by bracing the door for me, but not necessary to get the job done. I also used some cellophane and tape to cover the door opening for the 5 minutes it took to replace the unit. I replaced the icemaker. It was fairly easy, with the most difficult part being access to the icemaker in the bottom freezer. I loosened two screws, removed one additional screw, disconnected the wiring and removed the old icemaker. I mounted the wiring harness and ice level sensor arm from the old unit onto the new icemaker and installed it with no problems. I wish I'd done this months ago instead of repeatedly attempting to repair the old icemaker. Read more

1. I unplugged the washer from outlet 2. I turned off the hot and cold water taps going to the washer (both just in case) 3. I removed the top of the washer, disconnected the existing inlet valve assembly, and replaced it with the part I bought from AppliancePartsPros.com. If it hadn't taken me 30 minutes to figure out how to remove the top of the washer (not the entire top, just the cover over the control panel area), this would have been a 5 minute repair. Read more

Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Turns out that the gasket is built into the sump for this model. The built-in gasket is very narrow (under-engineered IMHO which is probably why it developed a leak).
