Ordered necessary parts and they were delivered with-in two days. Wow! Squeak found to be coming from idler pulley roller which no longer turned freely . • Leaking

I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. None of the hoses were leaking - no evidence of corrosion or water mineral residue at any of the hose fittings. So, it must have been something else. Replaced front panel and inner liner of door (kit), trap duct assembly, both bearing slides (gray and white), and drum front support bearing. Procedure is pretty much what one sees in the video clips. Exceptions in our case included: 1. The fact that our door latch¹ was on the front panel while the door strike² was on the door. Repair went fairly smoothly by following the EXCELLENT how-to video provided. I had only a few issues and suggestions. 1. Because many of the screws and fasteners are of multiple sizes, I would recommend laying them out in a muffin tray or on a paper with labels for where they go back. 2. After removing the weights and prepping to remove the shock absorbers, after the front ones were removed, the tub tilted so far the rear shock absorber separated. The friction pads fell out. I will say that the GE Washer/Dryer combo is nice if you need to save space, but trying to fix it was far from "fun". It took several hours to get to the location of the Seal Tub. First the dryer had to come off the top, then pretty much every bit of the internals needed to come out too, The seal could not be accessed from the bottom of the machine, and it wasn't easy to get to it from the top. • Takes too long to dry

Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. I just wanted to put my experience here for all to see. I have a Maytag Neptune, MAH5500BWW, one of the original ones. I bought it back in 2002 and it has done many many loads of wash faithfully. I watched the video posted by Jerrod Sessler on yellow van handyman.com. Then I had to unstack the dryer from the washer, remove all covers, disconnect all hose connections, shock mounts and springs and remove the tub assembly. Then I disassembled the tub assembly and remove seal and both bearings from the rear half. At this point I cleaned everything. I tore into the washer until i found what i thought was the problem which was the upper outer tub splash cover gasket and when i couldnt find one in my town i ordered a new one from u folks and replaced it hoping for the best and was successful. Replaced the Inner Tub Basket. We watched the video, ordered the parts, and swapped out the basket in a breeze. We were very surprised, and pleased, with how easy the repair was.
