Connects dishwasher door to tub with cables and springs for controlled opening and closing. Replace if cable is broken, frayed, or snapped.
We knew at least one door hinge cable assembly or hinge spring was broken (the door started falling down rapidly and became heavy to close) so we ordered two of each since we had read to go ahead and replace the damaged items on both sides. While we were waiting on the order, the other side must have broken-the door became incredibly heavy and instead of falling open, started crashing down unless it was carefully lowered. We feared it would fall on one of our animals and kill them. We did not... Read more
Fix NE error code or weak spray arm pressure with this diverter motor. Controls water flow to spray arms. Moderate DIY repair, about 1 hour install.
I ordered a new vario motor and a soap dispenser. I turned off the water and the breaker, disconnected the water line and the power at the front base of the unit, disconnected the drain hose from the garbage dispenser, and pulled out the dishwasher and laid it on a blanket on its face. I unscrewed and removed the plainly visible vario motor on the bottom of the machine and removed the cam from the shaft. I then used a needle nose plier to carefully turn the D-shaft on the new motor to exactly... Read more
Traps food particles and debris during wash cycles to prevent recirculation and ensure clean dishes. Replace if clogged, damaged, or causing odors.
I replaced the filter cartridge that is located underneath the lower spray arm. The original filter cartridge had become completely blinded off, the filter media is a very fine mesh nylon fabric and it gets clogged up eventually with hard water scale and other non-soluble materials (including dishwasher detergent). When this filter gets plugged, too little water flows through to the pump to be recirculated during washing. Replacement is relatively easy, except for the awkward position of... Read more
Seals the pump to tub connection, preventing leaks during wash and drain cycles. Replace if you notice water pooling under your dishwasher. Confirm fit.
This filter just captured all the junk in the bottom of my LG dishwasher. There is no cleaning or servicing this thing. You need to replace it. There is NO NEED to pull out the dishwasher. All can be done through the door. Remove the racks. Remove the rotating arm on the bottom (2 screws under the arm). Remove the single screw (on the bottom) holding the tube that goes up the back of the washer. The tube has two clips that need to be spread apart to get the tube completely out of the... Read more

Washer showing OE error code or not filling properly? This circulation pump motor powers water flow during wash cycles. Moderate DIY repair in 2-3 hours.
First off I want to say Appliance Part Pros rock! I have used them for purchasing repair items for other appliances in the past, so when my washer started making weird noises this was my go to source. I thought my problem was likely pump motor related as the water wasn't draining and I could hear the sound of the pump trying to work. After reviewing what others who had similar situations found to be the problem I took a gamble and decided to get the drain pump. Some who had that problem... Read more

Seals the cam motor shaft to prevent water leaking into motor and electrical components. Replace if you notice leaks around the motor area or water damage.
This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor. This repair is done on the underside of the dishwasher, nothing to disconnect inside (just remember to remove the baskets). It would be wise to order the motor seal and micro switch that goes with it as they are all cheap parts and easy to swap out during the procedure. Be sure to take... Read more
Fix LE error codes or high-pitched whining during wash cycles. This circulation motor repair typically takes 40-60 minutes with the dishwasher removed.
So all of a sudden the dishwasher stops working, "0E error"on the panel. Did some google searches and found that it might be the filter, which I did not know needed to be changed, or worse, the motor. Took the filter off per online tutorial (easy) and mopped up all the stagnant water. Poking around, I find the small rubber check valve that has broken. Had to fish it out with tweezers. Long story short, it was not the motor and I doubt it was the filter. It was this $1.87 rubber drainage... Read more

Dishes not drying or water not getting hot? Your dishwasher heating element may have failed. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours with cabinet removal required.
The dishes were not drying on our 5yr old LG dishwasher. After removing the front door cover, I verified that the blower motor was operational and the vent was not blocked. I removed the diswasher from the cabinet, accessed the heating element from the bottom of the unit, and found the heating element did not have continuity. The part was ordered on a Sunday, and was at my doorstep on Tuesday at 5:00pm. Reasonable price and great service! After installing the new heating element, the... Read more
