Loud noise during spin cycle John N. • Beaufort , SC • January 16, 2017
Replaced washer drive block and Cam. I called around and finally settled on Appliance Parts Pros because they helped diagnose the problem, told me what parts to replace and had videos to show me how to do it. In completing the repair I had to remove quite a few pieces of hardware in order to get at the part I was to replace. The videos helped but there is a learning curve while you familiarize yourself with the parts and figure out how the remove them.
Eventually I got to a large nut that,...

Main tub would not spin but agitator plate would made unusual grinding sound during spin cycle. Stephen H. • Shelbyville , MI • April 11, 2020
I watched a video on YouTube that showed my exact problem. It had a link to this part AP5665171 Hub and it showed how to fix it. It was a fairly simple fix. I did not even have to remove the tub. I popped the cap on top of the agitator plate (AGP), removed the bolt hold the AGP on. I tapped on the bolt several time to loosen it. Using an angled screw driver, carefully and slowly lifted up the edges of the AGP until I could use my fingers to carefully pull the AGP off the splined drive...

The door would free fall to the floor left door balance broken Daniel M. • San Diego , CA • December 23, 2016
I finally decided to repair my dishwasher because the door would free fall to the floor possibly breaking the hinges. Also the top shelf was rolling out on its own every time the door was opened. I first pulled the dishwasher out of the enclosure and found that the drain hose was directly under the pump area throwing the unit completely out of level. Also the inadequate plastic and rope counterbalance on the left side was completely broken where the rope was attached to the plastic piece to the...

Bad bearings on Whirlpool Cabrio washer Fred B. • New Braunfels , TX • October 30, 2018
After ignoring for a couple of years that the bearings were bad on our Whirlpool Cabrio washer and just closing the door to the laundry room, it started slinging grease underneath during the spin cycle. Knowing that the cost to call out a repairman would be close to the cost of a new washer, I decided that it would be a nice Saturday project after reviewing AppliancePartsPros’ repair video. The bearing & tub seal kit and bearing installation tool arrived in two days. I’ve done a lot of...

Broken tab on old magnet holder Joel E. • Granite Falls , NC • December 27, 2016
This was a super-easy repair. You have to line up the spring so that it sits on the bumps inside the magnet holder and the door, then you have to line up the tabs on the magnet holder so they will slide into the slots on the door. Then you just push it in. Repair took less than a minute.

LG dishwasher door crashing open (very heavy) Kristi B. • Oregon City , OR • December 05, 2020
We knew at least one door hinge cable assembly or hinge spring was broken (the door started falling down rapidly and became heavy to close) so we ordered two of each since we had read to go ahead and replace the damaged items on both sides. While we were waiting on the order, the other side must have broken-the door became incredibly heavy and instead of falling open, started crashing down unless it was carefully lowered. We feared it would fall on one of our animals and kill them. We did not...

The hinge arm link broke Ronald I. • Las Vegas , NV • March 02, 2015
I watched the repair video and ordered the part ( I luckily ordered two links). The video was not exactly for my model dishwasher but I did follow the instruction for removal from the cabinet. Since my model was not shown, I was looking to see how the door spring and the Hinge Arm Link was supposed to be set up.
