Replacement spring for the flapper between French refrigerator doors. Installs in the lower hinge to close the gap automatically. Needed when broken or missing.
I thought fixing this door would be too difficult/expensive, so I just spent a week manually closing the flap myself each time I closed the frig. Then I googled the model number of the frig just for fun. The first result was AppliancePartsPros.com, I clicked ONE SINGLE TIME and I arrived at this site, with the exact part I needed listed at the top, and a repair tutorial video that played beautifully with one more click. In the span of two total clicks, I saw how to fix the frig, and I saw... Read more

Fix ice buildup on evaporator coils or inconsistent cooling with this refrigerator temperature sensor. Easy DIY repair with our video guide.
Poped off plastics caseing inside the frigerator. Unscrewed 4 screws holding black fan inplace. Followed yellow wire to locate white sensor. Need to be careful not to break styrofoam, don't force it, it should seporate from plastic easy as long as the 4 screws are out. Swap it for the new one and button it back up. While I was in there I replaced the defrost sensor and the other sensor next to the heating rod. Also I know there is an issue with drain hole plugging up with ice so I extended the... Read more
Ice maker stopped working or making loud popping sounds? This assembly restores ice production. DIY-friendly repair—just unscrew, unplug, and swap.
Since I could not find the correct thermistor from the schematic provided, I ordered the thermistor harness for the evaporator. I cut the harness and spliced it to the sheared thermistor wires on the roof of the freezer compartment. It now works fine with a little "farmer ingenuity" help. Samsung was absolutely no help at all, but the guy that I spoke with over the phone at APP sure was. This site is now my "go to" for appliance parts! Tip for others with this model. Do not overfill the upper... Read more

Plastic support bracket that secures the freezer handle to the door. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to properly mount your handle assembly.
Replaced broken handle support bracket (part #AP5620448) and cap (part #AP5620751). Used a phillips head screwdriver and allen wrench. Pliers also came in very handy. If replacing cap and support bracket, be sure to install cap before support bracket, otherwise you'll have trouble installing the cap. I ended up not needing to replace the fixer handle (part #AP4372038), but I'll keep it around just in case. Read more
Fix frozen food or incorrect temperature readings with a new refrigerator temperature sensor. Common DIY fix taking about 1 hour with basic tools.
This is a plastic cover that shields the heater element located near the french door center hinge area of the refrigerator. It protects the defrost or anti-condensation heater wiring and components from moisture and physical damage. Replace this cover if it is cracked, warped, or missing, which can lead to condensation buildup or frost accumulation around the french door section.
I ordered the French door housing, the new piece has a solid raised curved part that enters the guide, and a new center hinge. I watched both repair videos shown on appliance parts Pro. It looked pretty simple, so I got my 2 screw drivers and unplugged the refrigerator and started. The hardest part was removing the upper and lower hinges. The video didn’t show how he got them loose, after several minutes of frustration I figured out how to release the hinge. The new parts installed really... Read more

I heard a cracking sound so I opened the freezer again and found that it was s piece of plastic -- a small bar -- that had broken off of something. I went online, first to identify the broken part. It was the ice guide. I had to do a bit more research to find out what the ice guide does, as well as the part number. I found it easily on appliancepartspros.com. (I think I purchased a new heating element for my electric oven from you and was able to fix it VERY easily. I was hoping this new repair... Read more
Fix freezer ice buildup & fridge not cooling. This temperature sensor regulates cooling cycles. DIY-friendly repair, takes about 45 minutes to install.
Replaced the inside back panel which comes with a new fan. Seems the old fan had stopped working due to ice which burned it out. The drain tube was blocked and ice built up on the bottom plate. Using a basting tube from Walmart and hot water I thawed out the ice in the tube. The basting tube became much like a toilet plunger and cleared the line rapidly. Nothing else worked as fast. I then bought a one foot long piece of thin solid copper wire from Lowes and stripped the insulation off. I... Read more
