Upper rack adjuster cracked Gary G. • San Francisco , CA • April 27, 2019
I bumped into my KitchenAid dishwasher and the upper rack adjuster cracked. There was already a crack on the notch of the housing where the handle (lever) sits. In addition, the positioner popped out and I couldn't find it. So, I bought the three parts from AppliancePartsPros online.
It arrived in about a week. The repair was fairly simple, but it still took about 45 minutes because I didn't want to crack the assemblies.
For the housing, use a small slotted screwdriver to carefully...

I called to ask about the correct gasket for the door. As VERY helpful lady suggested that it was probably a split arm spray. She was absolutely correct. I have used you web site for parts in the past and will always make it my first stop when ordering appliance parts.

The door would free fall to the floor left door balance broken Daniel M. • San Diego , CA • December 23, 2016
I finally decided to repair my dishwasher because the door would free fall to the floor possibly breaking the hinges. Also the top shelf was rolling out on its own every time the door was opened. I first pulled the dishwasher out of the enclosure and found that the drain hose was directly under the pump area throwing the unit completely out of level. Also the inadequate plastic and rope counterbalance on the left side was completely broken where the rope was attached to the plastic piece to the...

Kitchenaid dishwasher top rack falling apart Gerald S. • York , PA • February 02, 2016
Ordered numerous replacement parts. Started with the tracks which required pulling the washer out of the cabinet to reach the screws. Pushed it back in and re-secured. Then stared on the rack and replaced the rack adjusters and various clips. Everything is straight forward and easy to replace. I originally called a local repair place to have them repair it. They came out and said they needed to order parts and they would call back. A week went by and I followed up with them. Had to leave...

Leak from under KitchenAid dishwasher misdiagnosed by technician David B. • Freeport , NY • August 21, 2020
My dishwasher was leaking and I called to have a certified technician come to diagnose the problem. I removed the kick panel from the bottom of the machine. He turned it on and we saw that water was leaking from the bottom. He said I needed a Sump kit but it wasn't in stock. The cost was $170 plus tax and labor cost was another $140. So I talked it over with dad and ordered the Sump kit, the hose clamp and a new diverter motor as mine was yellowed with age. The cost of all these parts and...

Leak at Kitchenaid dishwasher diverter motor. Dan B. • Wentzville , MO • September 10, 2023
Pulling the dishwasher, it was obvious we had a slow leak under it. We had a slow leak from the diverter motor area in the sump. Sure enough, it looked like the gasket around a shaft had to be the culprit.
The gasket was attached to the sump assembly, or the motor. We took a chance and ordered a new sump assembly for a mere $90 and went for it.
All of the trays had to come out. The lower spray arms. Then the distribution runs to the middle rack arms and upper rack arms. Finally, the original...
