I took the cover off the transmission and determined that the only possible knocking had to be coming from the yoke. I ordered a new yoke and all the tub seals needed to put it back together like new. I also ordered a new drive pulley bearing because this bearing is always turning whenever the washer is used. My son told me that almost all the microwave ovens that came into the repair center he worked at, 15 years ago, had a defective magnetron. I ordered a magnetron, and sat back until one shipped. Ordered door latch part and new spring. You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! • Won't start

I have a Jenn-Air microwave that didn't turn on and had no lights. It just stopped working completely. I unplugged the unit and had to remove the rear cover using a *security screw kit* that prevents people from opening the rear panel. Once opened, I removed the fuse and testing it with an OHM reader to determine that the fuse went bad. I have a multimeter so I was able to check the fuse per website recommendations and it was blown. However, the capacitor on the microwave was also original so I elected to replace the capacitor, fuse, and the ground protect diode. The repair was very simple (making sure the capacitor was discharged before replacing) and the microwave is now up and running again. I googled the make and model, and found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. The underside of the oven has a metal grille with numerous openings of various shapes and sizes. There is a rectangle that is punched into this grille, just below the motor. I pried between the vent holes to snap the connections near the perimeter on the punched rectangle.
