Tenants in rental unit explained problem, I ordered replacement hinges for both the left and right. After replacing both, it was determined that a cleaning person removed and didn't reinstall the bottom heat plate of oven back into position, which was the reason the door wasn't closing. Read more

A you tube video helped in removing the oven door. After removing the screws, though, the top did not separate. Since I could lift the bottom up enough to get the old door hinges out and put the new ones in, I closed it back and put the screws back in. There was an issue in screw in two of the screws on the bottom of the door. They would not screw all the way in and are about 1/8 inch out. Ordered a new left side hinge from appliancepartspros.com and it arrived overnight although I paid for standard shipping only. Replaced the left side hinge which was visibly misshapen and damaged. Followed video instructions on U-tube to remove the oven door and hinge, installed new hinge, reassembled and re-installed door. It works like a champ now! About a 45 minute repair and I work slowly. Easy job, remove door from oven, remove 8 screws around outside edge of door and seperate the two halfs/ Remove 2 screws on the hinge, replace with new hinge put back together and install door. Takes 15 min. from start to finish if you have the right part, initally I ordered the wrong part and had to return and reorder correct part. Read more
