White Westinghouse Freezer Parts

Ordered both parts from Appliancepartspros.com. The pictures of the website made it easy to order the correct parts. So far I've replaced the grill / kick plate. Took me longer to vacuum out the dust from the coils than it took to replace the part. Have not yet replaced the inner door panel. That will be a project for this coming weekend. Purchased a replacement COMPRESSOR. The compress or was a replacement for MFG. P/N 5304478809. The compressor was not an exact replacement. There was no port identification so the connections took a lot of time searching the net and then only the suction port was noted. Removed the freezer shelves and back panel, evaporator coils were frozen with ice. Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement. Also discovered the aluminum retention strap was broken and the heater had slipped down in it's position, ordered and replacement strap. It was relatively easy, we took out the broken lid with the gasket then remove the clips, all of them were ok and we could use them again. Then we proceed to put the new lid with the gasket and use clips to fasten the lid. Read more

Even though there was no info for this type of freezer on the website, the part description and grid dimensioning was enough to find an acceptable hinge. Replacement was easy because all the bolt slots and hinge was as pictured. Replacement took 15 min. Part was shipped and delivered in one day. Excellent experience. Read more

I replaced defrost timer (which I am glad I did because of wear on the points) but that did not cure the problem. So after checking other components, I found that the temperature control was the culprit. No problem, I will simply order part # 2162521100. Well Frigidaire decided to obsolete that part and "Has not provided an approved substitute". So, I have to scrap this freezer and pay $800 to $900 for a new one? Not!
