The Knob is an OEM component for Whirlpool dryers. As the user interface, it allows selections of temperature, settings, and time options with the twist of a finger.
Designed for comfort during extended cycles, the durable knob utilizes non-slip textured surfaces around robust internal gears. Integrated fasteners mount securely to shafts coupling knobs to their respective switches.
Causes of faulty knobs can include stripped internal teeth from mineral deposits binding moving parts or broken mounting tabs weakened through normal wear over many years.

Dryer won't heat or gas won't ignite? This gas valve controls gas flow to the burner assembly. Moderate DIY repair requiring drum removal.
Remove the top cover, front door panel, drum, and back cover to access the valve assembly hold down bolts. Unhook the gas line, remove the electrical connections to the coils, then R&R the valve assembly. Don’t forget to hook the connectors back to the coils before putting everything back together...
