Whirlpool Range / Cooktop / Oven Parts

Went to YouTube for pictorial on the repair. Found it to be an easy replacement. Made a wiring chart, followed the reverse order of wiring. Installed part checked that part floated on its spring mounts and did not touch anything. Checked my wiring a second time agents my chart-making shore all spade connections were tight. lowered and secured top turned power back on and tested part.. Part functions correctly. Read more

• Door won't open after self cleaning cycle

Based on information found at AppliancePartsPros, I determined that the it was most likely the thermostat (thermal fuse). I removed the rear panel and tested the fuse for continuity and it was bad. I used a jumper wire to bypass the fuse and plugged the range back in. The panel turned on and the oven unlocked. I then removed the thermostat and looked up the replacement part and ordered. This is for the Whirlpool in-wall double oven GBD307PDS10. No power and the door locked after the shutdown before the self-cleaning cycle was over.
