• Won't start

I was going to just throw my stove out and get a new one until I did some research. I stumbled onto this site and found my broken part watched a quick video thanks to this wonderful site, they convinced me I could do it. I ordered the part on a Saturday night and Tuesday I got my part I was shocked. Took 5 minutes to fix and this site saved me hundreds of dollars on buying a new stove. Replaced the igniter, Simple but there are several points to remember. TURN THE POWER OFF 1) remove the oven door or you will have a hard time reaching the back of the oven. Mine just lifted off. 2) The igniter tip is fragile put a drop cloth over the oven floor in case you drop it even after it is in its holder. 3) The drop cloth will catch screws too if you drop them so they won't fall into the oven. 4) The cable from the oven is very short even after pulling it out from the hole at the back.... Turned off power supply. Removed two screws (near the oven door) holding the ceramic top. Slid the top forward, disengaged the two power supply cables, and removed one ground wire. Removed range top, and put on a flat surface. Unclamped two power supply wires, one ground wire and one thermocouple wire from the element. This was an incredibly easy fix. Took 15 minutes max. Unscrewed the innermost door panel and removed the bracket that held the old glass in. Set the new glass in place, put the bracket back, and put the put panel/glass back and screwed it back in. Read more

DIY. The delivery to Milwaukee took two days. The project was very easy and took about 1hr. The only tools required were a screw driver (electric) and a pliers. Just make sure your irganized with the screws so you don't lose any or mix up which ones go back in which holes. There's about 20 total screws.
