The gasket on my freezer door was not holding the door closes. When the main door closed, the pressure which shifts to the freezer was popping the door open and it was not closing because the magnet had lost its' mojo. Followed directions on video, worked as advertised. The only trouble I had (if you can call it that) was with removing the door. I have a freezer on top not side by side. Its easier to take the door off a side by side. When doing one like mine it can be done with one person but it's nice to have an extra set of hands to hold the door in place when removing the bracket which is on the bottom, You can take the freezer door off if you want and work your way down to the fridge door but I didn't... I replaced the auger motor. You have to remove complete ice maker. Everything is just like help video to do except yoke dispenser. I watched video several times. Yoke will not just tap loose, after 30 minutes of tapping, I was using screwdriver to brace. I used a Dremel tool to cut part of shaft, came off easy then. After that, the repair went great. I have ice, I noticed motor I received was stronger. Parts came on time stated and worked great. I will order again on other repairs. Read more

Fridge keept building up ice in defrost drain drain in freezer. Once the drain pan filled with ice it drips into fridge compartment. After taking things apart three times to thaw it out, decided to replace defrost components - heater and temperature switch. In addition to new parts, also added a 12 gauge copper wire hook that hangs from defrost heater into the defrost drain. Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. I had verified that the water supply was healthy, so it was either the icemaker unit or the water valve. I replaced the icemake first, based on a the pareto showing it was the culprit for most other people, but it didn't help. That replacement was straightforward; the hardest part was reaching all the way back to unclip the wiring harness since I am too lazy to totally empty the bottom freezer and remove the door. • Freezer not defrosting

My unit has a bottom freezer that is a drawer. I had to remove the drawer, rack, glides, glide tracks, and ice maker to remove the rear panel. This was a little difficult but after researching a few videos on line I learned some tricks that made it easier. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice.
