This replacement oil tank for a pole pruner or chainsaw is an authentic OEM replacement part. The inner workings of an engine consist of many moving parts. These parts are mostly made of metal and they thrash about against each other to produce and transfer energy. Engines use oil to lubricate these parts so that they do not rub and create friction as this would cause the engine to overheat. This oil tank lets operators quickly top up their engines with oil without having to take apart the inner mechanics. Oil tanks are made of durable reinforced plastic but it is still possible to bang, dent, or even puncture them. Should this happen, oil will leak from the tank and the engine will be starved of lubrication. For safety purposes, it is important to immediately replace a broken oil tank. To do so, use a wrench to remove the old tank and install the new part with the same bolts.
