Crosley Refrigerator Control Board

Crosley Main Power Control Board (Pcb Assembly)
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 242115279

This is the refrigerator's electronic main control board. The power PCB coordinates the compressor, fans, and defrost system using sensor inputs—helping restore stable temperatures, proper defrosting, and consistent operation when the original board fails. What it does

  • Routes and regulates power to the compressor and evaporator/condenser fans; failure can cause no-cool or intermittent cooling
  • Interprets thermistor signals to manage run times and temperature targets; faults may lead to erratic temperatures
  • Controls the automatic defrost cycle to prevent frost buildup and restricted airflow
  • Interfaces with other control components; issues can present as clicking from the board, display anomalies, or unresponsive controls
What's included
  • One main power control board
Install notes
  • Disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the appliance before servicing
  • Use ESD protection; handle the board by the edges and avoid touching components
  • Access the control behind the external service cover; transfer connectors one at a time and reuse original mounting hardware/enclosure
  • Restore power and allow the refrigerator to stabilize at set temperatures after installation

Crosley Defrost Timer (Refrigerator)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP68233-2

The defrost timer controls your refrigerator's automatic defrost cycle, periodically pausing cooling to power the defrost heater. Replacing a faulty timer restores proper defrosting to help prevent frost buildup, temperature swings, and excessive run time.

  • Advances the system between cooling and defrost at set intervals
  • Sends power to the defrost heater, then returns the unit to cooling
  • Failure may cause heavy frost on evaporator coils and weak airflow
  • Fresh food section may run warm while the freezer ices over
  • Unit may run constantly, never defrost, or get stuck in defrost
What's included: 1 defrost timer Installation notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing
  • Location varies by model; access the timer (often in the control housing or rear compartment), note wire positions, and transfer one at a time
  • Mount and secure the timer as originally installed; reuse existing bracket/fasteners
  • After reassembly, restore power and verify the unit advances through cooling and defrost

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrigerator section was not staying cold as before and the noise was louder than normal   Stephen S. • Flagstaff , AZ • July 11, 2015

At first, I suspected the evaporator fan motor was going bad, but when I went in to check it out, I found the evaporator coils totally frozen up; the fan was cavitating. I defrosted the coils completely and checked everything out. By process of elimination the Defrost timer had to be the culprit. I unplugged the timer and sure enough, the motor winding was open. Replacing the defrost timer fixed my problem. Troubleshooting (using the information available on your web site) took a little... Read more

Crosley Moisture Sensor Control Board
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10476828

This part is a moisture sensor control board that is used on dryer units. This component monitors the moisture levels within the dryer and adjusts the dry time during the automatic drying cycle. A new moisture sensor control board will be needed if the time is not advancing in the automatic drying cycle, even if it does advance in the timed dry cycle. Another sign is if the dryer continues to run after the clothing inside is dry. Unplug the dryer from its power source prior to replacing this component. The person performing this task may wish to wear work gloves to protect their hands. The moisture sensor control board is compatible with dryers that are manufactured by Kenmore, KitchenAid, Kenmore Elite, Whirlpool, Amana, Crosley, Maytag, Inglis, Sears Canada, Roper, and Sears. This part is sold individually and it is a genuine OEM replacement part that comes straight from the manufacturer.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Kenmore elite dryer routinely stopped after a few minutes when set on the moisture cycle but finished completely when set on timed cycle   James L. • Brandywine , MD • December 06, 2014

Did some research via the internet and figured the problem was likely the moisture control board. Watched a video of the repair of a similar unit in order to locate the moisture control board. Used the chat feature with one of the Appliance Parts Pros to get a schematic of the dryer and advice about where to use the putty knife to release the springs for access to the board. Thanks to the lady I chatted with for expert advice. Once the actual task was started, the repair took 15 or 20... Read more
