This LP orifice spud meters gas to a range burner when using liquid propane. Replacing a worn or incorrect jet helps restore proper flame size and clean combustion during LP setup or conversion.
- Meters LP gas to the burner for correct flame height and color
- Helps resolve large yellow flames, soot, and poor simmering caused by an incorrect/blocked spud
- Supports safe operation when converting from natural gas to LP per the manufacturer's instructions
- Can improve ignition and flame stability when the original jet is damaged or clogged
