It was an easy fix. I simply removed the microwave door lining with a putty knife, which gave me access to the handle's two screws. I unscrewed and removed the remnants of the broken handle and then fastened the new handle in place. The only trouble I encountered involved the two replacement screws that came with the new handle. For us, it was a two person job to safely support the front of the microwave while removing the two mounting bolts which go through the cabinet from above.
