The box then slides out. If you take out the third that connects the box to the wire cover, just remember to screw that back in before you replace the box. 2) To make sure I didn't place the wiring in the wrong place, I basically took the wiring out one by one and placing it into the new switch. 3) Place the new... This motor/lamp switch is the user control for many GE range hoods. It turns the fan motor and hood light on and off, restoring reliable control when the original switch becomes worn, intermittent, or sticks.
Biggest problem was trying to get at the switch to replace it. Had to remove two allen head screws to gain access on the back panel of the range hood. The allen heads were very small fortunately I had a number bits from my old electric screw driver that allowed me to remove them. Even then I had to snake my way cutting my hand to get to the switch to replace it. The positive part the switch was over $25 less the if purchased directly from GE through Appliance Pros. Read more

This knob assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part that is found on range hoods. The knob is used to turn the power off and on to the fan and light. This knob is made of durable plastic, but it may crack and break over time. If this happens, it isn't easy to turn the shaft to the off and position that powers the fan and light. When the knob is damaged, it should be removed and replaced with a new one. Tools are not required to remove and replace the knob. To start, disconnect the range hood from the outlet or turn off the breaker. Grasp it tightly and pull hard. The knob will pop off. Line the new knob up with the slot and push it in place. Restore the power to the range hood. This knob assembly is a black plastic molded part sold individually. It is designed for range hoods manufactured by General Electric.

This replacement light bulb restores illumination in your microwave, making it easier to see food and controls during use. Installing a new bulb brings back dependable lighting for the cavity or cooktop area, depending on your model. What it does:
This is a genuine OEM replacement grease filter for use on cooktops. The air filter is used during cooking to filter smoke, grease, and other air contaminants from the air. When food is overheated, and smoke fills the kitchen, the air filter will pull the smoke from the air through the filter and out the exhaust. This helps to keep the air in the house odor and smoke-free. Odors can alter the way food tastes, so keeping the air and grease filter changed can help when serving food and how it is received. This filter also catches grease particles when cooking food in oil. These spatters will eventually clog the filter and necessitate the need to remove and replace it. If the filter is not removed, the air will not be able to circulate through it, and the filter will not work efficiently. Removal does not require tools. The filter is simply pulled out of the cavity and a new one placed in the cavity. The old filter should be discarded; this is not a filter that can be washed and reused. This filter is a black metal part that is sold individually. It is designed for stovetops and ranges manufactured by General Electric.
