Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken fan switch   William S. • Marco Island , FL • October 02, 2015

Biggest problem was trying to get at the switch to replace it. Had to remove two allen head screws to gain access on the back panel of the range hood. The allen heads were very small fortunately I had a number bits from my old electric screw driver that allowed me to remove them. Even then I had to snake my way cutting my hand to get to the switch to replace it. The positive part the switch was over $25 less the if purchased directly from GE through Appliance Pros. Read more

Ge Knob Assembly
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB03X10163

This knob assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part that is found on range hoods. The knob is used to turn the power off and on to the fan and light. Ge Air Filter/Grease Filter
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB02X10310

This is a genuine OEM replacement grease filter for use on cooktops. The air filter is used during cooking to filter smoke, grease, and other air contaminants from the air. When food is overheated, and smoke fills the kitchen, the air filter will pull the smoke from the air through the filter and out the exhaust. This helps to keep the air in the house odor and smoke-free. Odors can alter the way food tastes, so keeping the air and grease filter changed can help when serving food and how it is received. This filter also catches grease particles when cooking food in oil. These spatters will eventually clog the filter and necessitate the need to remove and replace it. If the filter is not removed, the air will not be able to circulate through it, and the filter will not work efficiently. Removal does not require tools. The filter is simply pulled out of the cavity and a new one placed in the cavity. The old filter should be discarded; this is not a filter that can be washed and reused. This filter is a black metal part that is sold individually. It is designed for stovetops and ranges manufactured by General Electric.
