I have a GE Adora gas stove. Its a JGB605 model. The knob for the font left burner would not rotate. After looking through the manual, the parts lists on the internet, and checking some youtube videos I decided I had to replace the valve for the burner. It took maybe 30 minutes to disassemble the stove top. You will need a Torx driver. Swapping out the valve was trivial and reassembly was quick. This 270° burner valve controls gas flow to a single surface burner, restoring reliable flame adjustment and ignition on compatible gas ranges. Designed as a direct replacement to regain proper low-to-high flame control. What it does:
The screws ordered were the wrong type (I removed machine threads, the replacements were self threading) Not a problem.The screws fixing the burners to the top plate were badly rusted and the heads had to be drilled off. The remaining part of the screws had to be drilled out which meant that the self threading screws could then be used. Changing the valve was straight forward.
