Oven won't heat properly during baking? This lower bake element restores even heating. Easy 15-minute DIY repair with basic tools required.
The delivery of the element was superfast, less than 24 hrs. Unplug the Stove from the receptical! Took a phippips screwdriver and took out the 2 screws holding it, and tilted it upwards a bit and pulled the element out about 3 inches an unhooked the wires. Hooked the wires up to the new element and pushed it back into the holes and put the 2 screws back in and turned the stove on and that was all there was to that. Read more

The most difficult part of the repair was cutting through the little screws that had rusted and corroded over the decades. With old removed, the installation of the new blocks and elements went quickly. One modification was to the support fins on the new heating elements.
