Label all wiring harnesses before disconnecting because some have he same number of pins which could lead to sadness if interchanged Slide ware connectors upward to release from water filter and lower water solenoid. I went in through the lower back of my Whirlpool bottom-freezer refrigerator, found a duck-bill end on the existing drain tube, and removed it. Less than a cup of water was released into the evaporator pan. I didn't need the drain tube I bought - and replacing it would have involved getting into the interior wall inside the freezer, which would have been a LOT more work. This is the chute component that directs water from the fill tube into the ice maker mold inside the freezer compartment. It ensures water flows accurately into the ice tray without spilling into the surrounding freezer area. Replace this part if water is leaking around the ice maker, ice forms outside the mold, or the chute is cracked or blocked with ice buildup.
