The drain tube for for the defrost cycle seemed to be blocked, so I googled the repair & it sent me to AppliancePartsPros. Thought leak was coming from icemaker but refrigerator was making ice just fine. had puddle on floor just below freezer door. upon closer inspection realized leak was coming from drain line. there were 2 pieces of tubing and the connector. leak was coming from where tubing goes into connector. wanted to replace it. didn't know what it was called. did live chat with someone I think was named James. he sent me diagrams and I could identify the part. once identified I ordered it. boom.... Ice buildup inside the freezer was caused by warm air beneath the freezer contacting cold air from inside the freezer the resulting condensation freezing and blocking the drain, causing the ice buildup inside. Replaced the water tube that went from the plastic tubing to the ice cube tray. Found that even though it was the same exact length as the original, there was only an extremely small gap from the end of the tube to a splash board. This may have been the root cause of my problems. Read more

Replaced the tube. The original part number could not be found. This tube that we ordered had an curved connector at the bottom and a hard connector on top. The original tube had a right angle connector on the bottom and a smaller connector on the the top. The curve on the bottom worked. We had to cut the top connector off the tube for it to fit. We then secured it with the original metal bracket at the top. No leaks! All working fine now. Read more

First we tried to change the filter. Water was leaking from the area of the filter when we changed the filter. We purchased an "original" Fridgidaire filter, no change. Did some research on the internet and decided to change the two tubes and the filter valve (at the back of the filter housing). Roll out fridge. Remove left half of ceiling facia. Label all wiring harnesses before disconnecting because some have he same number of pins which could lead to sadness if interchanged Slide ware connectors upward to release from water filter and lower water solenoid. Slide hose out by pushing from interior toward back. Reinstall by reversing steps. Putty knife is used to pull upper facia forward then pull downward. 3 clips near front then a row in the back.
