Inglis Agitator Parts

• Will not agitate
• Spins slowly

I had previously replaced the pump about 1 year ago. That was not the problem. Still leaked the same way - intermittently, but always in the center of the washer onto the floor. I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. I reviewed the video on the Appliance Parts Pros web site, disassembled the agitator and cleaned everything up, which helped a little, but not enough. Pulled the washer apart (using your videos as a refresher) and found that the plastic coupling between the motor and the transmission had failed. Searched for parts vendors and found your site. Ordered the coupling on-line and went back down to clean up the machine. In the cleaning process I found a damaged thrust washer for the upper agitator and broken drive dogs for that same agitator. The ridges inside the agitator base were stripped. Installed a new base - after a good cleaning of build-up on the spindle. Works like new! Read more

Viewed YouTube video of AppliancePartsPros.com replacing the agitator to see if I could do it myself. I ordered part from Sears but they never delivered. Cancelled order with Sears, ordered from APP and was sent part within 24hrs by fedex for less than Sears charged. Will only go APP and would recommend APP to everyone. Replaced agitator and washplate bolt and washer. Normally this would have been a 5 min job, however the bolt wouldn't come loose. The teeth on the agitator were worn down and the shaft the bolt screws into would turn with the bolt when trying to loosen it. I had to cut out the agitator using a dremel and hold the shaft in place with a vise grip in order to unscrew the bolt. Once the bolt was out I used WD-40 to help get the agitator off the gears. Opened lid during cycle and found upper agitator not turning.Removed dust cover seal and saw cam turning but dogs were only engaging once in a while.Although I didn't need to replace the upper agitator I did anyway,along with the agitator cam kit. I watched the quick repair video and repaired the washer myself in less than 30 min. Read more
