Jenn-Air Cooktop Parts

After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. Range has no model ID plate anywhere. Flip off electric at circuit breaker box. Opened top of range and noted details of the faulty burner, including confirm that outer coil was fried. The maker info on back of element was useless in finding replacement: more useful was general shape, and the numbers around edge on back. Close up range, since low heat element still working. Ordered new screws and door gasket. Replaced the old door gasket now the oven warms up faster and bakes the stuff easier. Replaced the missing door trim screws. Now the door close without making noises. Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Had to drill out the portion of the old foot that was still in the grate. Cleaned out the opening. Popped in the new one and voilà- all fixed. I ordered 8 of the feet as I see this eventually happening to all of them. Read more

I was able to clean the Oven Temp Sensor with 99% alcohol. Then replaced All switches (after breaker was isolated). Put it all back the way I found it. Turned on breaker. Tested all functions and had no reports of Fan Code re-appearing since. Read more

Only the lower element was burned out, but I opted to replace both. Ordered from AppliancePartsPros and received them very quickly! A few screws, unplug and plug in the new elements, replaced the screws, and DONE! This has to be one of the easiest repairs a homeowner can do.
