I ordered a new burner and switch. Received all parts in only one day. Shut breaker, pulled out the range to work on it. Removed the front panel to replace the switch first which was the easy part of the job, only 6 screws. Installed new switch, turned on the breaker to test and found that the burner heated up proving that only the switch was bad. Shut breaker again, reinstalled front panel, reinstalled the range and turned the breaker back on. Just in time for Easter dinner! Returning... Read more

I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Good info on the webpage. Took me about one hour to repair which is longer than expected but that included cleaning up the pans and rock which was overdue. This is a control knob for a gas range surface burner, used to turn the burner on and off and adjust the flame level. It fits onto the valve stem on the control panel. Replace this knob if it is cracked, broken, or if the markings are worn off, making it difficult to set the correct heat level.

Grease filter for range hoods and over-the-range microwaves. Dimensions: 7-11/16" x 14-15/16" x 3/32" (7.6875 x 14.9375 x 0.09375). Rectangle shape. Captures grease from cooking air. Replace when clogged, discolored, or every 6-12 months.
Took off the vents to clean it good. Saw the charcoal filter. Needed to be replaced (had been 13 years) popped the new one in. While I was at it got a new grease filter which slides in easily. Read more

I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news!
