This mechanical temperature control thermostat regulates your unit's cooling by cycling the compressor on and off to maintain the set temperature. Replace a failed cold control when temperatures drift, cycling is erratic, or the knob no longer responds.
- Monitors cabinet temperature via a sensing bulb and opens/closes electrical contacts to control cooling
- Helps restore consistent temperatures and normal run times
- Typical failure symptoms: too warm or too cold, runs constantly or won't start, no change when adjusting the control
- May cause intermittent cooling or short cycling as it wears
