Replacing the inlet valve solved the problem. The old valve was somehow clogged with white sediment. I probably could have taken it off and cleaned it out if I'd known, but replacing the valve was much easier. Took about half an hour to repair. Video walk through was extremely helpful. The homeowner kept getting AE flood code on a 2 yr old LG dishwasher. Changed the gasket at the bottom of the door. ordered the $25 part AP 6236867 and the door seal AP6981193 ($22) for a complete job. First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect. Found calcium deposit running down from under the Air Vent Assembly and wet behind the black stick-on insulation. Easy to trace the leak to the bottom of the door. => Ordered new Air Vent Assembly, gasket and Vent Deflector. Parts arrived. Took 5 minutes to remove upper panel. • Not drying dishes properly

Turned off power to dishwasher. Removed front bottom cover of dishwasher and removed the wires going to each end of the heating element. unscrewed the two nuts holding the faulty heating element in place. Then removed bottmo dish rack and spinning washer arm from inside the dishwasher. Removed old heating element and replaced with new one. Installed in reverse order (tightened two nuts, connected wires, etc.). Turned power on as last step and was off and running...or should I say washing. Read more

Replaced sump because the seal is not sold separately. You will need a skinny clamp after cutting the original swaged clamp off. Also Had to replace the cover as its seal is not sold separately either. Used dish soap on seals during assembly. Read more

Ordered new wheel assembly, which came in about a day and a half. The broken assembly was on the left front so I only had to slide the dishwasher out just enough to expose the two mounting screws on the outside of machine.When you remove the old assm there are two rubber washers on the back side. If you didn't order new ones,remember to remove them from broken assembly and install them onto the new piece.Overall this is an easy fix and took about ten minutes including pulling the machine away... I checked continuity at the float switch since I knew the inlet valve was working when direct wired to 120v. Switch did not have continuity. Replaced switch and inlet valve worked at start of cycle. Read more

Although I ordered the latch, lever and a new cup and replace the original pieces the dispenser still did not close. On further inspection it turned out to be a small spring that had fallen out of place. Once the spring was reconnected the dispensing cover worked fine. I'm still happy that I replaced the entire assembly with new parts regardless. Discovering the loose spring took the most time. Read more
