The Dryer Lint Filter is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This filter is designed to capture lint and debris from the clothes during the drying cycle, preventing it from clogging the dryer vent and ensuring efficient airflow. Proper maintenance of the lint filter helps improve the dryer's performance and reduces the risk of fire hazards caused by lint buildup.
Over time, the lint filter can become damaged, torn, or clogged with excessive lint and debris. Common causes of a bad lint filter include wear and tear from regular use, damage from improper cleaning, or excessive lint buildup that is difficult to remove.
Symptoms of a bad dryer lint filter include:
- Visible tears or holes in the filter
- Lint not being captured effectively, leading to clogged vents
- The dryer taking longer to dry clothes due to restricted airflow
- The filter not fitting securely in its slot
This OEM part is also compatible with some Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
