Sheets broke cover guide with filter and sensor Stefan H. • Ponte Vedra Beach , FL • March 15, 2019
I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. I have ordered all three parts overnight by Fedex, ordered 15 min before 5pm, so next day it was here.
Dryer is fixed, I'm happy.

The Lint Filter Duct Cover is an OEM part for LG dryers. It is designed to fit over the lint filter and duct area, ensuring that lint is properly trapped and does not escape into the dryer’s internal components. This cover helps maintain efficient airflow and prevents potential lint buildup, which can be a fire hazard. This part measures approximately 11-1/2 inches by 1-1/4 inches.
You should replace the lint filter duct cover if it becomes damaged or cracked, or if it fails to stay securely in place. Common causes of a bad lint filter duct cover include regular wear and tear, accidental damage during cleaning or maintenance, or exposure to high heat that can warp the plastic.
Symptoms of a bad lint filter duct cover include:
- Lint escaping into the dryer drum
- The cover not fitting securely over the lint filter
- Increased drying times due to reduced airflow
- Visible cracks or damage to the cover
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Lint filter catching on clothes and ruining them. Jai C. • Oak Park , IL • June 25, 2019
The original issue with the dryer is that a corner of the lint screen was sticking out of the lint screen guide, and it would not stay flush with the guide. As a result, many tank top straps, waistband strings, and blankets would get caught on this corner and twist, tear, or warp my clothes.
When I did my research on the issue, I kept reading that it was an issue with the lint screen that came with the dryer. So I ordered the lint screen, guide, and cover that appliance part pros recommends to...
