Wouldn't make ice both refrigerator and freezer were getting warmer Mark H. • Newport Beach , CA • August 01, 2015
After a power surge caused by an electrical pole cross-arm breaking, our LG french door refrigerator wouldn't make ice, and both fridge and freezer were getting warmer. The bottom of the fridge doors (and subsequently the compressor) were extremely hot to touch so I took off the back cover and saw that the condenser fan wasn't spinning. After determining that was the issue, I set up an auxiliary fan to push the blades to cool the condenser and ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com (I...

I screwed out the broken leveling leg and screwed in and reset the new one.Iit is working fine. I also thought I needed to replace the water line to the Ice maker, but discovered I just needed to reattach it. I do, however, need to fix the water dispenser as it will not shut off. How do I do that?

The lower ice maker was overflowing John D. • Merritt Is , FL • October 25, 2025
Started off by replacing the water lines and valve, purchased from the same site. Thought I'd cured the problem, but no. Next step was to replace the icemaker, which is incredibly simple. Undo 2 screws, pop out the clips give the wiring harness a good tug and the whole lot comes out. Reverse the process to install the new one. In order to get the process going I pressed the test button on the underside of the unit. So far everything seems to be working properly. If you're having the same...

Two issues water in the bottom of fridge and clicking noise Leroy B. • Colorado Springs , CO • January 19, 2015
The old filter head was broken at the supply line side connector fell out. The clicking noise eventually caused the fridge to warm up and stop cooling. The clicking was the overload relay tripping. The Start solenoid on the compressor was an Embarco TSD part 513604044. APP does not have that part nor does any else found a similar one on ebay but I ordered the PTC assembly 6749C-0014E. I removed the overload relay and capacitor from the TSD used two pieces of wire and connectors to create the...
