Kitchenaid Burner Orifice Spud (Natural Gas, 15,000 Btu)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10347414

This natural-gas burner orifice spud meters the correct fuel flow for a 15,000-BTU surface burner. Replacing a clogged, damaged, or wrong-size orifice restores proper flame size, cleaner combustion, and reliable cooktop performance. What it does:

  • Meters gas through a calibrated opening to the burner head for correct flame height
  • Sized for a 15,000-BTU surface burner using natural gas
  • Installs in the orifice holder/valve body beneath the burner
  • Typical symptoms of a faulty or mismatched orifice: weak/small flames, yellow/sooty flames, uneven heating, delayed ignition, burner won't reach high heat
What's included:
  • 1 natural-gas 15,000-BTU orifice spud
Install notes:
  • Shut off gas supply and disconnect power; allow all burners to cool completely
  • Remove grates, caps, and burner heads; lift the top or access the orifice holder as required
  • Match each orifice to the correct burner location by BTU rating; do not overtighten
  • After reassembly, check all connections for leaks with a non-corrosive soap solution and verify proper flame color/size
Fuel type note:
  • For natural gas applications only; use the correct LP/propane orifice when converting fuel types

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Blower cooling fan had a bad bushing and was vibrating and making noise   Christopher O. • Great Falls , VA • March 12, 2014

Easy fix, this was an identical match to the fan that was in the oven. The only thing missing was the foam strip, that easily came off the old fan assembly and stuck to the new one. The hardest thing was finding the part, and with a picture to verify. I have found appliancepros.com has a large list of available parts, easy to find in their inventory of available items, and some of the best prices as well. This is a Whirlpool convection slide in oven, and the Whirlpool site was worthless, did... Read more

Kitchenaid Blower Wheel (Dryer)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPY707985

This blower wheel mounts on the drive motor and pushes air through the dryer drum and out the exhaust. Replacing a worn wheel restores proper airflow for consistent drying and helps prevent overheating and nuisance shutdowns. What it does:

  • Moves air across the heater, through the drum, and out the vent to remove moisture
  • Helps maintain proper airflow and temperature inside the dryer
  • Common failure symptoms: reduced or no airflow at the exterior vent, longer dry times, unusual scraping/thumping or vibration from the blower area, or overheating/shutoff
  • Cracked fins or a stripped hub can cause the wheel to slip on the motor shaft
What's included:
  • 1 blower wheel
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and turn off gas supply before servicing
  • Access the blower housing per your model's service instructions; remove the retaining hardware and replace the wheel in the same orientation
  • Clean lint from the blower housing and vent path; inspect the motor shaft and blower seal for wear
  • Reassemble and verify the wheel spins freely without rubbing; check airflow at the exterior vent

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Stove downdraft stopped working   Robert B. • Gaithersburg , MD • March 08, 2016

I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

I have a 10 year old Kitchenaid double oven with warming drawer below and electrical connection is located in cabinet below. I order a service manual from http://www.allrepairmanuals.com. Kitchenaid Fuse (Time-Delay)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10017410

This time-delay fuse protects the appliance's power circuit by opening when current exceeds a safe level while tolerating brief inrush current. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the root cause is corrected. What it does:

  • Protects the line and control circuits from shorts and overloads
  • Time-delay design helps prevent nuisance opening during startup surges
  • When open, the unit will be completely dead—no display, lights, or response
  • Repeatedly opening usually indicates an unresolved electrical fault that needs diagnosis
What's included:
  • 1 time-delay fuse
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; some appliances can retain dangerous high voltage
  • Replace only with the same type and rating specified by the manufacturer
  • Inspect the fuse holder and wiring for heat damage or loose connections before reassembly
  • If the new fuse opens immediately, stop and diagnose the underlying cause; never bypass or upsize a fuse

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave stated ‘door open’ and would not work.   Margo D. • Tarpley , TX • March 17, 2019

I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! We replaced the fuse, bus fuse, and light bulb (quit working 2 years ago) and all is working. Thanks for the information and for the part diagram. Couldn't have done it without you. Read more

I was devastated to hear my wife tell me our Whirlpool double oven was dead after she used the self clean mode. After my research, I found this problem to be more common than expected. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You I wasn't sure the temp probe was reading accurately. I hadn't seen the broiler element glow orange for about 5 years and the door gasket was popping off.   Lorraine C. • Hickory , NC • February 25, 2019

So, I decided that from the number of screws needed to remove the worn parts and the " plug and play" appearance of the new parts on you website, I decided I could do this! This also how I approach my plumbing projects.....this really scares my husband! Well, everything came in at once so a few days later I decided it was time to do the deed. I had pre-spritzed the existing screws the night before with a degreaser and scrubbed with a used toothbrush. The screws all loosened up with no problem.... Read more
