This air cleaner cover is designed to house the air filter on larger lawn equipment and other outdoor power tools. There is no aspect of small engine care more necessary than protecting the air that goes into the carburetor and cylinder from yard dust. Nothing is more incapacitating to a small engine than being clogged with dust, pollen, and other particulates that are invariably stirred up during landscaping work. While the air cleaner cover itself is not a moving part and would not seem to be subject to replacement, it is occasionally the case that, through extensive use or accidental contact, the cover becomes unable to shield the air filter within it. In these cases, it is essential to replace the cover with an OEM certified replacement cover that has been manufactured to the same specification as the original. Though replacing the cover itself is quite simple, it probably a very good idea to replace the air filters at the same time.
