Replace your dishwasher's control panel touch pad if buttons are unresponsive, cracked, or worn. Houses cycle selection buttons and display interface.
Maytag Dishwasher (about 5 years old). Some of the buttons had stopped functioning. Then the Start button began choosing whether or not to work. Eventually it would not start at all. Removed bad board. Put in new board. Make sure you have the foam seal for the steam vent. This is the second time I replaced the board and when I took it apart, I moticed I didn't have the foam seal in place. I either didn't receive one with the new part or I didn't realize it it needed to be there. But that appears to have allowed steam and some water to make its way into the door cavity and short out the board. Read more
