Took the whole dryer apart to access the wheels (4) of them, belt and fan wheel, also had to clean all the lint out that somehow builds up inside the dryer. Plus cleaned out dryer duct vent, added to the time involved. If you are planning on fixing the dryer because of a noise which was in my case, I highly recommend buy all the parts for complete maintenance mentioned above. What helped save me time? After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. First I watched videos about squeaking Kenmore dryers. Then I used that information to open the dryer, diagnosing the fact that the roller on the drum belt tension arm had broken and actually fallen off the arm. I took the dryer apart.....first had to clean out all the lint here and there. Took the drum out, inspected the belt and back support wheels. They seemed to be fine. In the front the drum turns on two supports that have a Teflon glide. Those two glides had been worn off with their pad so metal was rubbing against metal. I replaced the gasket that you had sent to me the next day in about 5 minutes! Sears parts direct had the item back ordered and even when I cancelled the order, they still shipped it! I will never use them again! All my appliance part needs will be through Appliance Parts Pros! Read more

Repair was very easy. No instructions included but basically start the new seal tabs at the bottom in the middle and work your way around snapping in place. 60 seconds Read more

The replacement popped into place in about one minute. Only issue was which side faced out, but i soon realized seal is designed to only match up on one side. Read more
