Purcased pc board. Pull water tray out which exposeses two screws. Take them out lift up on cover. Remove wire harnes from pc board then remove two small screws from pc board. Put new board in and reverse process. Takes about ten min. Read more

Bought new optic control boards, both the emitter and the receiver. The repair process was so simple. The KitchenAid repair tech came out to diagnose our issue. He was only going to come back and install a new emitter. They wanted a lot of money to do the repair. They were going to charge us $257 just for the part (emitter board). We bought both boards for $300 from AppliancePartsPros. We decided to replace both boards, because if one went bad the other might not be far behind. Read more
